MI-4 FACELIFT
|
|
|
|
Because of continuous internal product improvements and the steady dialog with users in the house of GÖTTFERT not only new ideas are being developed into items for serial production, but also already market well-established products are being perfected permanently.
The melt index device MI-4 comes with its innovating technology in a new way to implement these refinings. Especially in the delivery- and the quality control often simple and helpful tools as well as technical addiditions might be enormous simplifications for the operator, which can become noticeable in saving time significant.

Fast Acquisition Melt Pressure Measurements to detect Flow instabilities with Capillary rheometers and Lab-Extruders. Complete Package now available!
|
| |
|
Flow instabilities cause various problems in extrusion, blow- or flat film processes. Especially shark skin is af-fected by the molecular structure and the recipe of additives. Those effects can not be detected with conventional strain gauge transducers!
In collaboration with Prof. Wilhelm, University of Karlsruhe, Germany - Göttfert has developed a complete kit to study flow instability, to be used in its Capillary rheometers and lab-extruders!
A complete package, including a special designed slit die to receive fast acquisition transducers are now available as an add-on option for Göttfert’s Capillary rheometers and lab-extruders!
The software to come with, allows the evaluation of diverse pressure frequency regimes with fast Fourier trans-formation and statistical analysis of the pressure oscillations.
The following graph shows a comparison between conventional measurement with a strain gauge transducer (left), measured in front of the die, and the corresponding pressure fluctuations, measured down stream within the new measuring cell (right)!

pressure transients, measured with strain gauge (left), while fast acquisition pressure transients show Flow instabilities (right)
Fourier analysis of the high frequency signal is then performed, which allows to evaluate information about:
- Time scale of the instability
- Amplitude of the pressure deviation
- Mean value of the pressure
The time scale of instabilities analysed by Fourier analysis, allows predicting surface defects in amplitude and frequency. Further obtained pressure oscillations for different materials, especially variations in material design and recipes, can be used to evaluate correlations – a basis for systematic material development.

Medical Ram Extruders: Rheograph 25 E and TRICO-Ram
|
| |
|
High precision batch extrusion process for the production of artificial bone material and other high-tech materials needing very small tolerance.
More and more polymers are used in the field of medical technology. ”Life-Sciences” already see the benefits of extruded polymers, from the simple disposable cup to sophisticated heart valves.
In the medical industry the production process of disposable implants is getting focused on using single batch extrusion systems as already well proven in the ram extruder concept of Capillary rheometers!

RHEOGRAPH 25 / 75 / 120
|
| |
|
Unparalleled speed range of 0.00005 - 40 mm/sec (1:800 000) is now available in single or multi barrel system configutations, opening up new possibilities in testing.
The Rheograph 25, 75 and 120 are new designed user-friendly High Pressure Capillary rheometer with over again enlarged shear rate range, higher test piston force (25, 75 and 120 KN) and a huge variety of options. The new developed Windows database Software allows the parameterisation, the online monitoring as well as the free definable evaluation.
