Transient Viscosity

In addition to dynamic testing of rheological properties, testing in rotational rheometers is sometimes performed at constant angular velocity to record steady-state viscosity. This allows a better understanding of the processing process.

Here, the measurement is made by a step change in angular velocity or shear rate and is also referred to as a tension test. The viscosities reach equilibrium after a sufficiently long time. This value is also called transient viscosity

More Applications

LAOS

In the LAOS test, a sample is excited with a simple sinusoidal large excursion.

Storage and loss modulus

The storage modulus (G`) measures the energy which is stored in the sample and which will be released after mechanical stress...

Variable time

Comparable with the usual vulcameter test here the module and the viscosity via the time are being captured...
