This standard means, we are taking responsibility. In the Quality Control department, we are concluding a final check whether we are living up to our self-set high quality standards or not. Every machine goes through a measurement process with identical reference material. On the one hand, we are running tests with varying methods like Multiload Measurements and high definition methods (for MFR>1) on the other hand however, we are checking all additional delivered options. These test runs solely serve to guarantee, our customers receive machines which live up to highest quality demands.

In the past GÖTTFERT used PE – Reference material of classification D for all its Melt-Index machines, also called Plastometer. With a total of 2,172 test runs on 543 machines, the standard deviation was .043g/10min.

Higher accuracy as the average

The given target value is 8.24g/10min, with an accepted deviation of plus/minus .2g/10min.
The minimum value was 8.140g/10min, whereas the maximum value was 8.443g/10min with a mean of 8.293g/10min.

Since we have run out of reference material with classification D, we decided to proceed with classification E material. Our employees in the Quality Control department have concluded a total of 172 test runs on as many as 43 machines.
Fortunately, the new material shows identical measurement trends, which means our Melt-Index machines (Plastometer) continue to live up to highest quality standards.
