The MDR ELASTOGRAPH is a moving die rheometer used to determine the viscoelastic properties of natural and synthetic rubber compounds in quality control and research.
The MDR ELASTOGRAPH, a rotor-less vulcameter, is used to determine the behavior of viscoelastic material in a plasticized state during vulcanization and after vulcanization. For this purpose, a torsional load is imposed on the sample by the rotational oscillation of the lower test die half. Torque and phase angle are recorded as a function of test time.
The MDR ELASTOGRAPH was developed with the experience of 45 years in the field of rubber testing and has proven high accuracy, reliability and repeatable measurement results.
The vulcameter can be equipped with different test chamber designs depending on the standard and material used. Available are quasi as well as hermetically sealed test chambers in biconical, shore and paste versions. With the optional autoloader, multiple tests can be performed fully automatically without user intervention.
The ELASTOGRAPH has a fixed standard deformation amplitude of +/- 0.5°. Alternatively, it can also be equipped with a different deformation amplitude between +/- 0.1° and +/- 1°.
