Scope

This privacy policy provides users with information about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of their data by the responsible provider.

The legal framework for data protection is provided by the European Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG new) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG).

Collection of general information

With each access to this offer, information is automatically collected by us or the web space provider. This information, also referred to as server log files, is of a general nature and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person.

Among other things, the following information is collected: Name of the website, file, date, data volume, web browser and web browser version, operating system, the domain name of your Internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (the page from which you accessed our offer) and the IP address.

Without this data, it would not be technically possible to deliver and display the contents of the website. In this respect, the collection of the data is mandatory. In addition, we use the anonymous information for statistical purposes. They help us to optimize the offer and the technology. We also reserve the right to subsequently check the log files if we suspect illegal use of our offer.

Transfer of personal data to third countries

If we transfer data to third countries, i.e. countries outside the European Union, then the transfer takes place exclusively in compliance with the legally regulated permissibility requirements.

If the transfer of data to a third country is not for the performance of our contract with you, we do not have your consent, the transfer is not necessary for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims and no other exemption under Article 49 of the GDPR applies, we will only transfer your data to a third country if an adequacy decision under Article 45 of the GDPR or appropriate safeguards under Article 46 of the GDPR are in place.

Due to the declaration of invalidity of the EU-US Privacy Shield (ECJ 16.7.2020), processing in the USA is only possible with your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a DSGVO. A transfer to the USA in the sense of the European data protection level is not guaranteed with the declaration of invalidity of the Privacy Shield.

Alternatively or additionally, the conclusion of the EU standard data protection clauses issued by the European Commission with the receiving entity create appropriate guarantees in accordance with Art. 46 (2) c) DSGVO and an adequate level of data protection. Copies of the EU standard data protection clauses are available on the website of the European Commission at ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection/data-transfers-outside-eu/model-contracts-transfer-personal-data-third-countries_de.

Newsletter

If you register for our newsletter, we will use the data you enter exclusively for this purpose or to inform you about circumstances relevant to this service or registration. We do not pass this data on to third parties.

A valid (valid) e-mail address is required to receive the newsletter. Also stored are the IP address used to register for the newsletter and the date on which you order the newsletter. This data serves us as proof in case of misuse, if a foreign e-mail address is registered for the newsletter. To further ensure that an e-mail address is not improperly entered into our distribution list by third parties, we work in accordance with the law with the so-called "double opt-in" procedure. Within the framework of this procedure, the ordering of the newsletter, the sending of the confirmation e-mail and the receipt of the registration confirmation are logged.

You have the option at any time to revoke your consent to the storage of data, your e-mail address and its use for the newsletter dispatch. For the revocation, we provide you with a link in each newsletter and on the website. You also have the option of informing us of your wish to revoke via the contact options mentioned in this document.

Cookies

This website uses so-called session cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer from the server. They contain information about the browser, IP address, operating system and Internet connection. We do not pass on this data to third parties or link it to personal data without your consent.

Cookies fulfill two main tasks. They help us to make it easier for you to navigate through our offer and enable the correct display of the website. They are not used to introduce viruses or to launch programs.

Users have the option of accessing our offer without cookies. To do this, the appropriate settings must be changed in the browser. Please use the help function of your browser to find out how to deactivate cookies. However, we would like to point out that this may impair some of the functions of this website and reduce user comfort. The www.aboutads.info/choices/ (USA) and www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/ (Europe) sites allow you to manage online ad cookies.

Social plugins, online presences in social media.

We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to communicate with customers, interested parties and users active there and to be able to inform them about our services there. These are currently Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram. On our website you will find buttons that contain links to these social networks and platforms. When calling up the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and data processing policies of the respective operators apply. Unless otherwise stated in our privacy policy, we process the data of users insofar as they communicate with us within the social networks and platforms, e.g. write posts on our online presences or send us messages.

We have integrated the social media buttons of the following companies on our websites; further information on the handling of data protection at the external social media platforms can be found on their websites:

The buttons are marked with the logo of the respective network. The purpose and scope of the data collection, the further processing and use of the data by the respective service, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in the privacy notices of the providers.

During your visit to our website, the corresponding buttons are deactivated, so that no data is sent to the social networks without a corresponding click on the buttons.

After activation by clicking the button, a direct connection to the respective social networks is established. Only when you click the provided button, the respective plugin is activated. With this activation, you establish the connection and declare your consent to the transmission of data. If you are logged into a social network, this provider can assign the visit to your account. If you do not want this, we recommend that you log out of your account beforehand. If you are not a member of a social network, there is still the possibility that the provider may find out and store your IP address, for example. If you do not want this to happen, you should not click on the buttons.

We have no influence on whether and to what extent, for how long and for what purpose the external providers collect personal data. However, it can be assumed that at least IP address and device-related information is collected and used.

Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website.
